Statement of purposes
Dear readers, I am planning to write a statement of purposes but i am not sure with the closing, could you please correct or give some advices to my writing? Thank you
I was born as an introvert child. My family always told me that I was quite and timid. During my childhood I love drawing and arts, this brought the decision to choose Landscape Architecture as my bachelor. Even though I never use this qualification in my life, I never regret my decision. Instead, I think four years of my undergraduate life was the turning point of my interest in Communication. I was involved in various organizations and activities. I also was an editor in chief for campus bulletin and a leader for couples of events. Actually I was planning to get my minor in Human Resources Management, but due to financial condition I had to change my minor to supporting courses.
After three year's work experience as a credit analyst at P bank, one of the Indonesia’s biggest private bank, I want to return to academic study and undertake graduate studies in Communication in University of Q.
Many people have asked me why should I take my master in Communication while I have Landscape Architecture background and was working in banking industries. The answer is because I realized Communication is an important role in every industries.
During my working as a credit analyst, I experienced to communicate both with external (costumer) and internal (co-workers and work supervisors) parties. Then I realized how crucial it is to explain such important messages as clearly as possible. This challange me to apply this experiences in bigger problems. Considering that the my dreams didn't synergies with the position I was with, I decided to resign. Also I believe that this dream need full commitment.
Since then I am improving my general development. I joined some courses that engaged in communication especially in public relations, such as JRP and others online courses.
I am very aware that I am lack in experience nor academic background. Hence I choose to get my master in university of Q which I found have a really applicable program. Moreover, with university of Q's creative, inspiring and integrated environment as one of Australia's leading universities, it would give me a good chance to deepen my knowledge in Communication.
