What is worth doing at all is worth doing well. This has been my personal belief and driving force right from the outset of my academic career, excellence being my watchword. Doing a stint in places away from home is a rare opportunity, the experience gleaned from traveling and meeting diverse people is ingrained in the mind. This among a few other reasons underpins my interest in pursuing a Masters degree in . In a world that is shrinking increasingly smaller, the exposure and the rare privilege of learning and sharing ideas with some of the smartest minds from across the world, is unquantifiable

The love for computing and the desire to excel in whatever I do has prompted my keen interest to further my study in the area of E-business. This drove me to develop myself in the areas of applications and solutions development. I have worked with some of the best software companies in my countries to build business applications that are recognized as the best in the field of business .I worked with Systemspecs Limited, one of the leading software companies in Nigeria as an internee, assisting in ICT projects and also in quality assurance and software testing. The experience was a significant one as it exposed me to the practical reality of software development. Apart from this it helped me to evaluate myself and better understand my strength and skills, such as being able to identify problems and effectively communicating this to management to bring about a solution. I have also worked with AlliedSoft Limited. There I was a member of a team involved in developing a Human resource Management application that handles all manner of Human management problems that could arise in a work place ranging from Payroll management to Leave Management, Employee Management, performance management to mention just a few.

I currently work with the Information Technology (IT) Unit of an Insurance organization and build business application related to insurance. I strongly desire to know more and expand my horizon and knowledge in the area of using the internet to provide business solutions. This drive has propelled me to apply to study E-business in your prestigious University.

With a background in the Computer Science, from one of the renowned Universities in my country,

I have been exposed to Courses like Scientific Programming, business programming, software engineering I and II. I took particular interest in Software engineering I and II and because both courses helped to form a very strong footing in the area of developing business applications and also engineering.



Beyond the aforementioned reason, I am also impelled by the insatiable need to gain proficiency in cutting-edge advances made in the field computing particularly in the area of e-business technologies. E-business is the technology of using computer networks and electronic communication to service individual business requirements in new and more effective ways. I have always been attracted to the field of e-business technologies and looked forward to the opportunity to study the course. The course is rich in content, which on completion, will equip me with the right skills needed to excel in my professional career. The modules of the program provide instruction innovative management models, advanced information technologies, new market structures and the legal environment.



Over the next few years after my masters’ program, I will like to work in a challenging and dynamic software systems industry by making best use of the knowledge and skills gained during my postgraduate study. I will also want to affect my home country, , positively in the area of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in line with the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (UN MDGs) target 2015 for developing countries. Developing a global partnership for development is a key goal having as its major component the desire to cooperate with the private sector, making available the benefits of new technologies— especially ICT. This is where my experience will be brought to bear after I undergo a postgraduate program in e-business technologies.
