At the End of year 2003, I got the opportunity to work with Mr. Abhilash Pillai, a graduate from NSD and RADA. I worked as a stage manger in his production named of blood, premiered in . In that production my inclination towards back stage came and I start working as design assistant after that production I was involved in various production various eminent theatre artist of India few Mr. kirti jain, Suresh Bharadwaj, in the year of January 2004 I was member of Assisting technical team member Mr. Himanshu B. Joshi in Japan foundation project Memories of legend directed by five Asian directors. Later in July 2004 I got the admission in department of Indian theatre course for master in performing art, Punjab University, where worked and trained eminent personality few are Mr. G.Kumara varma, Neelam Mansingh Chowdhary, Maya Rao, Rob Clare and many more in the department I acted and done various projects in back stage in the year 2006 January I directed play based on franca Rame text play the mother. After that my master form Punjab university I done my three year diploma from National School Of Drama with in the specialization of theatre techniques and design in 2009, ,where I got I had worked with eminent National and International artist from various disciplines (design, theatre and visual art) like: Dr. Anuradha Kapur, Neil Fraser (Rada ),Robin Das ,Abhilash Pillai ,Tripuari sharma ,Kirti jain ,David burrows(London ) Rob Clare (London)Claudia Mayer (London ) Ovyakuli Khodjakuli(Uzbekistan ), Anna Helena, D.R.Ankur ,R.G.Bajaj, C.R.Jambe, Suresh Bahradwaj,. Bansi kaul, , Suresh Shetty, Naseerudin Shah, and many more .During the academic career I am always trying to explore the possibilities in approaching Scenography with this the result is that my work has always crossed the border between different disciplines of visual and performance art, for e.g. to conceive space design for performance I am trying to understand the concept of space from nomads and various occupation such as shopkeepers, Acrobats, vendors, Rath yatras , visarjans (religious acts ) in India .,because I believe that space has its own socio-cultural and political definition which is defined by its usage and user. Which led me to develop my final year production also? in the year 2009 i directed the theatre production named Rang Abhang which is based on the theatre prompters and the politics of the backs stage. Later that production was invited in Bahrat rang Mahotasav an international theatre festival organized by national school of drama in January 2010 .which is highly acclaimed in critics “Raising awareness and taking a step forward the desegregation of caste, this well crafted drama set in the Marathi Musical theatre milieu is intelligently directed by gaurav sharma –Kavita Nagpal Theatre Personality And Critic ASIAN AGE “ .Recently I am working as an scenographer, theatre director in delhi ,currently I am taking classes in SHRIRAM CENTRE FOR PERFORMING ARTS on basics of design and working on the play the water station by ota shoga.

Behind every successful production there is organized and equipped back stage energies are there, energies I mean to say the designers, producers, director, construction team and many more. As I concern about the concept of the course Two year stage management and technical theatre course is that to bring the flawless production, flawless means not even just secure the production mistakes in terms of cueing but execution of the concept of the director and designer at 200%precison level.
During in my pervious institution we are aware with all the area of technicalities and management area, but in India there is a introduction of the stage management but professionally it is not functioning as it function in the west (especially in U.K. and U.S.)
When I read and glance the course, the first thing I warmly appreciate it is behind every training the understanding of Health and safety is an essential part of the technical training. Andsecond the training has include the skills such as organisation, scheduling, team work, time management are there ,because apart of any execution and composing the production these area playing very important role .
Recently I have seen the theatre productions of oldest theatre company of Hyderabad SURBAHI THEATRE GROUP. This the heritage theatre group of the India they are famous for creating illusion on the stage for e.g flying humans, fire rain on stage and many more magic, I got the chance to go back stage where I saw great amount of dedication, passion And organisation at back stage but the major problem I found the safety matters are lacking every things on ropes and wires which is very dangerous while running the show, so I main concern to bring the company in notice because there is very passionate theatre company who are running professionally but in terms of technicalities ,management and lots of financial matters they are not able to able to fulfill the profession intensity .and as I mentioned about LAMDA
Course structure it is the course which is showing me the great amount of sensitivity in terms of management and technicalities for the professional and amateur theatre companies and also they are very much focused to make their student equipped in skill of the technicalities and managerial skills. This one reason to join LAMDA but my major reason is to set up the great amount of technical and managed theatre company in Indian rural area. The initial work on that
Area I already started .after passing out National school of drama I went to the village sanehalli of Karnataka. There I worked with the theatre school SHIV KUMARA PROYOG SHALA and their repertory company I took session on design there. And again I am going in the month of July to august for directing the production because my major focus on Indian theatre and I want to serve for it. one strong words of great Indian director LATE SHRI B.V. KARANTH JI said we have to redefine what is Indian realism for that we have make the continuous dialogue between the traditional ,folk theatre and contemporary theatre practices. So these words are my inspiration and fulfill I have to equipped with the technicalities and management skill to set up the professional company in the village and also trained through that company members I will take workshop to help others companies for betterment of Indian theatre.
