Statement of purpose

I try to make a Statement of purpose for applying scholarship. this is my Statement of purpose, is this correct ? please give me some advised, thank you very much





Since I was in university, I have believed that markerting is an important factor in az life. All Economic activities in several fields such as Trading, tourism, Export - Import, and others will run well if they know how to sell his product. For now, peole not only have to now how to sell their product but also they have to know how to communicate with their costumer. They have to give costumer the information about their product, what that, how to use it, why costumers have to buy it and etc. For giving the information we should use marketing communication science to influence people to buy or use our product.



So, I made the decision to apply to a marketing-related course after contemplating on what appeals to me, what I feel I am good at and what I would be glad to do in the future. Researching the subject I found out that I am mostly interested in marketing communications that with a focus on advertising, develops not only students theoretical thinking but also their creativity. Influencing people choices and decisions, marketing communications are of extreme importance to today business world. Directly or indirectly everybody life is related to marketing.



I graduated from Atma Jaya University in Jakarta, in Faculty of Business Administration major of Marketing. Besides studying, I was active in the student representative, became coordinator of leadership course program, I also became committee of national congress of Indonesia business student.



Presently, I work as a Marketing Communication especially as Media Planner for Bisnis Indonesia daily. My responsibilities are media planning, decide which media is the most appropriate to communicate with our costumer segmentation and how to deliver the massage to them (include material and design), make some event for our costumer, and maintaining good relation with other media. Working as media planner needs deep knowledge of marketing communication. Even though my undergraduate programme has given me a strong background in the Merketing, this is not enough for me to be a professional. I have to continue my study to enrich my skills and broaden my knowledge.



Master in Marketing Communication is needed in Aceh because of the following reasons:

1. Aceh has a lot of potential things that could be sell to other cities or even other countries such as traditional product, food, art-culture, tourism with really beutifull beaches, etc. with good marketing communication we can sell all of that to another people, and at the end will increase aceh’s people economics, and opened a lot of new jobs area.


2. I’ll make good promotion of aceh, so aceh will known not only the tsunami but also another potential things that aceh has

Considering all factors above. I believe that the chosen study will benefit Aceh in general. I consider myself to be a good candidate for this Scholarship because I am young, energetic, hardworking, visionary, and motivated person who believes that I can do something for the benefit of my country to whom I have been working. I did my best with all maximum efforts I could give for my institution. But this is not enough. Frankly, I am not satisfied yet with what I did. I believe that I can do much better if I am trained and developed through a master of Marketing Communication in Australia.
