Statement letter

Question

Hi i was wandering, if it would be possible for someone to check my statement letter. I also want to ask , if I put my letter in this site, won't the university think , when I send the letter, that I copied it from this site? I know this might sound crazy or funny, but I hope that someone will answer me

Life is changing every second. It gives us new experiences, embraces us into new rules and other kinds of frames of life. It is tough to resist it but we still fight as hard as we can, we search for some ways, how to give some sense to our entity and do something incredible and unforgettable. Spring is changed by summer and it is changed by autumn. Not only when our surroundings are changing but also when we are changing our needs don't remain as they used to be. Our youthful spirits start to want more from our life: enter a good university, get a degree. That is why my aspiration is to study politics in your university.
To begin with, I am a young woman from Lithuania, who is studying in Kaunas "Santara" gymnasium, is an active person, who spends her leisure time dynamically. Firstly, participating in an acting course called "Kaktusas" for four years had helped me to acquire good skills of expressing my mind orally. Moreover, going to computer courses for two years, therefore I have good computer skills. Also am interested in different kinds of sports: my favourite is climbing. In addition to this, extra curriculum activities I have been studying Spanish for 3 years and German for 6 years. Furthermore, I attended the Rickmansworth Spring Vacation course, where I completed 15 hours of English language tuition. During this course I lived in a British family that helped me to improve my communication skills. This vacation gave me the first taste of the British culture, which was the first drive for me to try to seek the higher education in the United Kingdom.
I have been aware of political issues all my life, but haven't been very keen on them. My point of view changed when the world faced global recession, also when everyday newspapers wrote about the treaty of Lisbon and the election of European Union president. That resulted in my growing interest in reading different kind of articles about political and economic issues. For example, articles of Vytautas Radzvilas, who is one of the best known political scientists in Lithuania. What is more, I started to discuss the hot topics with my friends, History and Mathematics teachers. The articles and debates resulted in me being more aware of not just micro but also macro environment surrounding us. Furthermore, it helped me to comprehend that global recession and the signing the treaty of Lisbon are incredibly important and that people should be more conscious of them. To sum up, Politics gives me a different view of the things that occur in day to day life.
As I mentioned above, the reason for my interest in studying in the United Kingdom originated quite early, from my first trip to England. Ever since, I have been admiring British culture, history and its people, who are polite, friendly and warm. What is more, Lithuanian ex-president Valdas Adamkus, who was elected twice, also studied in foreign university. During his presidency Lithuania joined the European Union and NATO. Moreover, current Lithuanian president Dalia Grybauskaite, who was elected by a huge number of people, also studied abroad. As my wish is to graduate from university and get back to Lithuania and help it to become a developed country, which would always be improving and prospering. So, when I was looking for an abroad university with a good politics faculty I found this university. After doing some research I found out that this institution can also offer approachable tutors, friendly and viable community and beautiful surroundings.
All in all, while writing the letter wanted to show that my interest in politics is huge. Moreover, I would like to say, that it is a really big pressure to write all of ones dreams and desires in one short letter. The pressure gets even bigger when you understand that your future life depends on every little word you write here. I hope that I managed to make this letter at least a little bit different and that I succeeded in showing that I am unique and unrepeatable. Moreover, expect that this letter is a sufficient proof that I must be admitted to your university.

So this is my statement letter. I want to study politics in university of Essex in England, Colchester. My sister is studying in colchester and taht is my main reason but i didn't mention that

Also my statement letter has too many characters so I am thinking of deleting the last sentence

So I would like to ask everybodies opinion about my statement letter

Hi,

First, a few overall comments on how it looks. It looks dense. Leave a blank line between each paragraph. Tab in to indent the first word of each paragraph. Try to avoid paragraphs that are very, very long.

The focus of it seems to be on you as a person, rather than on why you want to study politics. Maybe this is a good idea, maybe not. Your decision.

Try writing a version that is organized in paragraphs like this.

I want to study politics for three main reasons.

The first is . . . .

The second is . . .

The third is . . .

I want to study politics as Colchester because . . . (eg the program at Essex seems intriguing)

What I'm thinking is that this may help you to maintain a clearer focus, while still allowing you to include some of your personal thoughts and comments.

Compare that version to what you have already written above. Thebn choose between them. I'll have a look at the English, whichever you decide on.
