Statement and clause ?

I wanna know what is the diffrence between statement and clause !

An independent clause is a statement, but a dependent clause is not:

I went to the circus -- independent clause = statement.
because I needed some excitement -- dependent clause (not a statement)
I went to the circus because I needed some excitement. -- statement.

Anonymous, please use "I want to" instead of "I wanna" when writing, especially here on English Forums. "I wanna" makes it look as though you really don't care about correct English.

Also, in English the word "please" is very important when asking for help or advice. Your statement, with an exclamation point at the end instead of "please", looks like an order instead of a request.
