statement

I need statements from my teachers. Can I say this:

"None of the professors are responding to my statement request." Or

"non of the professors are responding to my request for a statement."

Thank you!

PreciousJonesNone of the professors are/is responding to my request for a statement.
This one with "is" instead of "are" is the more correct, but "are" is also OK in my opinion.

Hi,

OK as long as the context tells the reader that's what you mean.
