Statement

hi all,

in the following clasue:

in 1870, Calvin, along with Adirondack hunter Alvah Dunning,made the first known ascent of Seward Mountain,..................far from roads or trails.

a- a remot peak

b-it is aremot peak

c-a remot peak is

d-which a remot peak

the correct choice is a , why?

in this case there is missing verb. I was thinking the correct choice is c

I hope from anyone to inform me why a is correct?
