This may be a crude explanation but I believe the two words should not be simply interchaangeable as one might conclude from reading their respective definitions Example: A human can be in a 'state' of suspended animation, however;their body could be in a severely deteriorated condition as pertains to their health. Not the best example, but it should serve the purpose of differentiating the two w
