State oil

He was a very honest man and was well aware of the fact that using state oil for any business other than official is dishonest. So, he blew the lamp out when his wife started talking to him as it burnt with the state oil.

Please tell me are these sentences grammatically correct and natural? If not, please help me make these correct.
