I read a joke about U.S. state mottos, thought I got most of them except:

Alaska - 11,623 Eskimos Can't Be Wrong!

Indiana - 2 Billion Years Tidal Wave Free

Vermont - Ay, Yep



Could you please explain what’s funny about them? Thanks.
