In our books some verbs are considered as action verbs or dynamic verbs which can be used in continuous forms, and some are stare verbs, or stative or non-progressive ones. It is said that we can't use them in continuous forms. For example want is a state verb and we do not have I am wanting,we always have I want. Do you agree?

Such a distinction, and the idea that most 'mental' verbs are stative verbs are perhaps useful as general guidelines. However, they should not be regarded as absolute rules. Most 'stative' verbs, including those often classed as mental verbs, can be used dynamically in continuous forms in some contexts.
