Statament, Declaration or Outgiving?
Hi. I need to translate document from Portuguese to English. These documents are about people presenting me, recognizing the work I have done etc. Actually, it is a kind of "cover letter" I will present to an University, but the Portuguese noun attached to the documents is "declaração". So, I am confusing about what should be the correct translation to English: Statament, Declaration or Outgiving? Maybe other word... Thanks!

It seems to me that it should have the title "Letter of Introduction", as least for an American University. It may be different if this goes to a British University. Note that if they know you translated it yourself, they may not accept it.

It seems to me that it should have the title "Letter of Introduction", as least for an American University. It may be different if this goes to a British University.

Could I consider "Letter of Introduction" as synonymous of "Cover Letter"? Or is "Letter of Introduction" related to someone that presents me and "Cover Letter" should be I writing about "myself"?
