Starting a sentence with To + infinitive

Hello!

I don´t know why I have doubts about this issue. Is it correct to start a paragraph saying:

"To go to the post office, you have to turn left into Castro Barros"?

I would have said: In order to go.....

Thank you!

Hi To go to the post office,... In order to go to the post office,... Both are correct.

  • Hi To go to the post office,...
  • In order to go to the post office,...
  • Both are correct.
  • By adding 'in order' you give it extra emphasis, which is OK.
  • The to-infinitive in this case is used to express purpose.

Hi

To go to the post office,...

In order to go to the post office,...

Both are correct. By adding 'in order' you give it extra emphasis, which is OK. The to-infinitive in this case is used to express purpose.
