stars

The stars were hanging above

like bulbs in an opaque ceiling

the moon was disappearing

and I knew I was in love

Cos there's no star

that outshines your beauty

you're a girl so pretty

that you shine from afar

Take my hands, the moment is soft

the stars are fading and falling

the world is stopping and darkening

of your love I can't get enough

I like these lines: The stars were hanging above like bulbs in an opaque ceiling the moment is soft The rest of the poem is mush. Like an overripe fruit, sickly sweet but too soft to eat, it should be discarded.
