At first i would think about the topic.Then try to combine what i thought.and start an essay.I will think about some examples or references to consolidate my argument.
I heard that teachers always read the introduction of any essay carefully and if they don't find the introduction satisfactory they don't give good marks.that's why I try to find an interesting introduction.

Thinking about the topic is a great idea, and so is deciding on your argument or thesis.
What you have not mentioned is making a plan or outline of your essay, in terms of paragraphs (one main point per body paragraph.).
