Is this sentence correct:


"Star Sirius can be seen up to a certain latitude in the Northern Hemisphere and in the Southern Hemisphere."

Is this sentence correct:


"Star Sirius can be seen up to a certain latitude in the Northern Hemisphere and in the Southern Hemisphere."

I would change it. "The star Sirius can be seen throughout the Southern Hemisphere and up to a certain latitude in the Northern." The other way, the two "ins" are confusing.
