STAR

"A penny will hide the biggest star in the universe if you hold it close enough to your eye"

Please tell me what the author wants to convey. I would like to know the hidden meaning of the sentence.

Relativity of all things in the universe. (my first interpretation) A similar Chinese proverb: a frog sitting at a bottom of a well thinks the universe is only as big as the well. With different situations where the sentence is used, it could mean many different things, but relativity of sorts should always apply.

Please suggest.

For sure, there is some thing very important in that which I cannot understand
