Hi
Please tell me whether the underlined expression is accepted by standard English.
In January, the night temperature here varies from 10 to 20 degree Celsius.
One of my students felt the expression to be non standard and asked shouldn't it be "the temperature at night"?
I see no problem with "night temperature". , so the adjective is well established..

I see no problem with "night temperature". You can think of it as a short version of "nighttime temperature", but we do have "night nurse", "night fighter", "night owl", etc., so the adjective is well established..
