Stand from difficulty

Hello

Have you ever heard of the expression "to stand from difficulty/difficulties"? A Google search results in only one hit, which leads me assume that this is not an English expression. Could you confirm this?

Regards

Hi,

I've never heard that.

Where did you find it? What do you think it means?

I think the indented meaning is "to withstand hardship", "to overcome difficulties" or something along those lines. I found it in an essay. It may be a literal translation from an expression in a foreign language.

Thanks for your comment.
