I wonder if I use the word "stand" correctly in the sentence below:

I do not think it necessary to revise your essay. I like it the way it stands.

I wonder if it should be "in the way as it stands".

No, vincent you can't change this wording. I guess the way it stands is really a metaphor, meaning 'the way it is'.

I wonder if it should be "in the way as it stands". no, this doesn't make sense.
