stall or stalled.

Hi. Please take a look on the sentence bellow. It's from oxford dictionary.

stall him until I’ve had time to take a look.

Shouldn't it have been "stalled"?

Sorry, I don't get it. If its imperative then why it says "I''ve had time", it seems to me it is describing a past event.

It is in the past relative to the future time of "until" (i.e. the time that it is no longer necessary to stall him).

I didn't know that, I just found that in my dictionary.
I think "nest" would be a better choice.
