I have seen the meaning of this word but I do not really get it completely.

Can anyone explain the meaning in detail?

A "stake" or "share" of something is one portion of the whole. It is similar to 1 slice of a whole pie.

In some countries like USA, businesses can be owned by more than 1 person. For example, some large businesses like Apple, Google, and Walmart are owned by 10,000's of individual people. Each one of those owners has a "stake" or "share" in the whole business. Therefore, the individual who owns a "stake" or "share" in the business is called a "stakeholder" or "shareholder" because they are the individual holding on to the stake of the business.

In current business jargon, "stakeholder" refers to any person or group who has an interest in, or would be affected by a change in the business, such as new product or service.

It is very common in Information Technology, because all the stakeholders must be consulted when gathering requirements for a new system. Mostly the stakeholders are the people paying for, administering, or using the system.
