00Since childhood I have been absorbing knowledge in economics as my mother is an accountant and I used to help her out. As my parents divorced when I was 2 years old, mother influenced me a lot. This also caused my early self-dependence. Due to this I had interest and success in my economics classes at school. It is interesting for me to find out how different economic circumstances affect our everyday life in every possible way. I am deeply convinced that economics has a huge impact on us: on what we eat, what we wear and where we go in the evenings. Country’ s betterment depends on how fast the correct and creative decisions can be made. Of course country needs people to make these decisions. My aim is to become one of these people to country’s and as well to my own prosperity by implying skills and knowledge I will obtain at SSE Riga. 02br

00In secondary school I have been studying in math class where I had very competitive classmates which essentially improved my academic performance. During secondary school I took part in Olympiads and contests in English, Geography, Economics and Math. And I am proud to say that I also got some distinctions from my town. Since 801sup^{00th02sup}00 form I have been a member of school’s pupil parliament. I also had the honour to be elected as a president in year 2004. While taking part in this activity I learnt leadership and communication skills, which I believe are essential for my future life. A well I learnt to find creative solutions and work in team. This year I participated in Public Speaking contest in English. This improved my speaking and presentation skills. It was a great experience of obtaining new knowledge in such specific area and expressing my thoughts constructively.02br

00My academic performance is quiet good, though I was mostly interested in foreign languages, math and some pertaining to the humanities subjects. Apart from English I am fluent in Latvian, Russian is my native language. I also started to learn French a year ago and have some basic conversational skills in it. I also have been attending an Art studio for a year and I am taking guitar classes since January. The skills obtained at Art studio I applied in Junior achievement Latvia competition “Your commercial”, but guitar lessons have developed my concentration and coordination, which I believe is very useful. I consider myself a hardworking person that is capable of achieving high aims. As a proof an A level in geography can be regarded. I got it for the first time in school’s history.02br

00Wish to study economics appeared in the 1001sup^{00th02sup}00 form. For my future studies I have chosen SSE Riga because I believe it to be the best place to obtain bachelor degree in economics and develop my personality. SSE Riga has proved itself as a competitive school. It gives students all the opportunities to achieve high aims and challenges them. Modern theoretical and practical education and unique atmosphere of small school seems to me an ideal place to acquire solid foundation for my future. I am eager not to miss the chance to experience such study process. I believe that at SSE Riga I will be able to perform well as I achieve high results when I have good rivals and high requests. I aspire to be as good as possible in what I do. And I want to study at SSE Riga. 0-
