Squeeze up against

Thank you, I will check them out. I also wanted to ask if using two past forms together would be correct. For example, They "stood squeezed up". Is there a similar problem with this construction? And another question about using 'were' twice. Eg., The women were talking and were laughing. You never omit the second 'were' even in spoken English, right? I am sorry.. Lots of questions... But you explain really well.
