Squat vs Crouch

Hi,

Is there any difference between squatting and crouching?

Thanks in advance

Top answer

squatting: you are "sitting" on the floor with your feet the only parts touching it. crouching: you are down on all fours, moving. Some exotic poses can probably be described with either word.

Crouching doesn't imply being on all fours. As far as I know, they either one can be used.

And I think you mean "erotic" poses. (exotic means foreign or different)

I most definitely meant 'exotic', as in 'strikingly unusual or strange in appearance'

I tend to think of "crouching" as a position allowing a person to spring quickly to action, completely opposite in that respect to "squatting."
