Squash squish

How would you write this correctly?
Which word is correct?
Which is natural?
Is in or against correct?

I squashed/squished the fly on/against the wall.

Thanks

Some people squash; some squish. I squish. (I must be something of a child.)

I would definitely use 'against'.
