sprouty

I run into this word in the second episode of the animation Superman. And the character says:" Sprouty, New age, granola-crunching fluff piece on angels." ( She is complaining to her chief about that he put the news of Superman on the front page, rather than hers.)
Then I hit the Google and found that this only can be found some biological meaning:" Sprouty (Spry) genes encode negative regulators of receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) signaling, which plays important ....."

So sprouty =spry ? Or actually it's some new word or slang?

The gene is called "sprouty" in speech. It's official abbreviation in genetics is Spry.

That said, even though I don't know what 'sprouty' means in the Superman context, its meaning in genetics is totally irrelevant to your quote.

I'm working on Superman text for dubbing process and I also found difficulty in translating it. I think what Louise meant here is another cheesy report which is way inferior and disdainful than her report...
