Vocabulary

"spread through the day"

Hello,

Could you please suggest, if one have a task that is not to be done

wholly at once but gradually during the day, may I say that "the task

is to be spread through the day"? Another example: "The book was

too voluminous so I decided to spread in through the month [read it

during the month, a little each day]"? If it is incorrect or you can

suggest a more apposite expression, please give me a hint.

Thanks in advance.

I think these are more usual: The task is to be distributed throughout the day. The book was too voluminous so I decided to spread my reading out over the month.
