It is hard to determine what kind of response you seek. The title suggest you want us to point out errors, yet the list includes unusual punctuation as well.
“He has had an active career.” is a complete sentence.
“He has been writing poetry.” is a suggestion (but why ‘and’ ?)
(d) doesn’t tie in with anything.

Since 'writing poetry' and 'reporting...' are in a continuous sense, they presumably comprise his 'active career'; so I see no error in the way you have now written the sentence.
