Spotting errors

Because of her frank nature I like her the most.

Here 'the' should be removed according to my book.

I agree, but I couldn't tell you which I would more naturally use. I'm sure I don't use both.

Where "most" is usually a comparative adjective, it is sometimes used as a noun. "You are the most." This would mean "You are the best." I would not use "You are most."
