Spotting errors

He has been working on the problem for a long time but is still not able to solve it.

'Still' should be replaced with 'yet' in the above sentence according to my book.

Is it correct to replace 'still' with 'yet' in the above sentence? I don't think there is a need to replace. Please assist.
