Spots

This sounds quite weird to me but I have seen it written in a composition. Can someone help me understand what this person wanted to say " A leoretard cannot change its sports".

Looks like a play on words:

Instead of:
"A leopard cannot change its spots."

"A [leotard=referring to sportswear] cannot change its [sports]."

I'm not sure whether we have a pun here, or just a typo (typographical error).

The original and well-known proverb is: "A leopard cannot change its spots".

This is just a way of saying that someone cannot change their basic nature, particularly with regard to bad behaviour. It's saying that someone who has always behaved badly always will, because it's in their nature.
