spot the error

Following are the two question having 3 parts each a, b and c. Which part is supposed to have error :-

1. (a) The owner of the horse (b) greedily asked (c) too high a price.

2. (a) No sooner he appeared (b) on the stage than the people (c) began to cheer loudly

Please justify why ?
