Hello,

I wanted to tell a story to a friend about a basketball game I saw. This is what I said:

"In the first half, the Knicks was winning. However, in the second half, the Raptors ____________ the Knicks and they won the game."

I wanted to say "overscored" (pass the Knicks' score) but I just checked the dictionary and I don't think that's the right terminology. Please help!

Hi dhiNe, The word you are looking for is 'out-scored'. You should also change the word 'was' to 'were' in your sentence, and the word 'they' is not necessary. In the first half, the Knicks were winning.
