Sponsorship Letter

This is my first every rough draft of a sponsorship letter. I also have a club website (http://stw.ryerson.ca/~rocketry/) but I'm not really sure if I should place it in the letter somewhere. Any suggestions to this letter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance since this is an anonymous post.

Dear (Name)

I am writing to see if you and (Company Name) would be interested in sponsoring the members of the Ryerson Rocketry Club. The club will participate in upcoming local rocketry competitions, such as the annual ICARUS competition at University of Toronto and various NAPAS (North American Propulsion and Aerospace Society) competitions. In the near future, RRC wishes to host our own competition at Ryerson – being the first of its kind for the university.

Aside from building kits and replicas of rockets, RRC also utilizes its facility to conduct research in various areas of model rocketry. This unique aspect allows the members to actively utilize the knowledge learned in the classroom into real life applications, and thus, fortifying their understanding of vital flight aspects.

Currently, the club is looking into designing and testing a high efficiency hybrid rocket motor. This idea was examined after a conventional polymer core shape was questioned. To find out more about the influence of the core shape, RRC decided that this would be an ideal Club project with soon to be published results.

Your generous sponsorship would be highlighted by:
·Company name/logo placed on the Ryerson Rocketry Club website and promotional materials.
·Free booth space or table to showcase products or services during competitions or special events.

You and any other representatives of (Name of Company) would be most welcome to come by the University to review our progress and also thank you personally for your support.

The estimated audience of (Number of people) would benefit tremendously from your generosity. The cost to sponsor the rocketry club would be (Cost). I would be most appreciative of a telephone call to let me know of your interest.

You may reach me at (Phone Number). I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for considering this request.

Sincerely,

This seems ok, just a couple of suggestions for you. Move the paragraph listing the benefits to their company (logo/stand etc) to the 2nd paragraph place. Can you call them in a few days instead of expecting them to call you?

Hi I wonder if you could help me write a sponsorship letter for people to advertise on my website. My website is just new and would like to attract local businesses to advertise.

It would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks,

Ruby

Ruby, you need to draft the letter and post it for us to help. We don't draft letters. When you do draft it, you should probably start a new thread so that it will be easier for peope to see that you still need a response, rather than adding it to an existing thread.
