Sponsorship approval

Hi, I need to know if this sounds right to send in to ask for sponsorship for an event. What should I change?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Denny James and I am getting started on raising funds for an event. I'm hoping to have the event at the end of the month, however I am lacking the finances to get it together.Evidently, it will not be cheap but I have found ways of minimizing the expenses. company's name has struck my attention and I am eager and grateful for help and support financially especially because I know your product/service will definitely be of interest to each person that will be attending the party. My idea is to promote your firm as much as we can, and as stated those attending the event will be encouraged to see what your company offers. It will increase awareness and appreciation of your firm as well as enhancing the image of your firm and I would be more than proud to do that.

That being said, I would like to have a meeting so that I can present my project and discuss it in depth.

I would greatly appreciate your response and assistance with this matter.
