To Whom It May Concern,

At Smooth Productions, we are currently in search of a sponsor for our new underage event. Our latest event, Subliminal, is being held at one of Melbourne’s most well known venues, Publicity Nightclub, which has just recently undergone a multi-million dollar renovation. Our team was formed with experience from various underage events held throughout Melbourne metropolitan areas as well as suburban event nights.

Our latest project will be ranging costs of up to $7, 500 through the payment of venue, the hiring some of Melbourne’s most well known DJ’s, advertisement costs for passes and pre-sold tickets etc. and the cost of our extensive promotion team. We propose that we be provided with funding of up to a few hundred dollars to cater for costs of running the night or at your discretion, some giveaways along with the funds.

Planned to be held on the 30th of September, we endeavor to take on a new sponsor such as Starburst to join us in our new monthly events. Your logo and company name will be printed on each of the 10, 000 passes, as well as advertisement through SMS updates, internet sites and email notifications all collected through our databases.

For further information about our team or for any enquiries please contact Mr X on <<deleted>>. Thank you for considering our proposal.

Sincerely,
Mr X,
Smooth Productions.

I'd emphasise the benefits to them rather than what you want. Also, you need to explain why this would be a good event for their company to sponsor. Personally, I can't see much connection between a food manufacturer and young teenagers, but perhaps they have a specific product they could promote to that age group.
