Spoken English rules

I am looking for books and dvds that have rules for spoken English for age groups 5-12 and for higher scholars. i am looking for rules of pronouncing words e.g Monalisa - the o in monalisa is pronounced as (oh) and the o in Monica is pronounced as (o). Need to know when the o is an (o) or (oh). Also the word THE when it is pronounced (Tha) and (Thee). And several other rules that are fundamental and primary and secondary for learning spoken english. Can anyone please recommend books that are highly comprehensive and easy to understand. If there are any DVDs that i can use particularly for early and middle primary age groups, i would greatly appreaciate.

A dictionary should provide a phonetic pronounciation of every entry. It will point out that vowels such as "o" are pronounced as either long or short and that there is a written symbol indicated in the phonetic pronunciation which represents how to prononce the vowel. Learning how to use a dictionary will serve you well.
