spoken and speaking

Is there any problems if I want to say: '' He has a good command of speaking English'' instead of He has a good command of spoken English?

thanks

Hi, '' He has a good command of speaking English'' I wouldn't say this is wrong, but it sounds odd. Better to say something like 'He speaks English very well'. He has a good command of spoken English This is the common way of expressing this thought.

Clive,

Shall we say "He has a good command in speaking English"?

"He has a good command of English."
is a fine and sufficient way to express the idea, unless you want to specify "written English" or "spoken English".
