Spigot and faucet

Do spigot and faucet refer to the valves or the metal tube/pipe where the water comes out from?

Top answer

Hi, To the valves. But the word I almost always hear and say is 'tap', eg 'Turn off the tap'. I associate 'faucet' with USA English.
