Spelling

Good morning,

How I must spell year 1100? Is it one thousand one hundred or is it eleven double o? Or is there another way to?

Hi, That's how I would read "1100": One thousand one hundred. Eleven hundred. I've never heard " double o " to mean " 00 " with reference to years (I'm fine with it when spelling out telephone numbers, though) ...

That's how I would read "1100":

One thousand one hundred.
Eleven hundred.

I've never heard "double o" to mean "00" with reference to years (I'm fine with it when spelling out telephone numbers, though) ... but I'm not a native, so I cannot guarantee it's not used that way.

For the year 1100, I would say "eleven hundred."
