Speechless Love

She moved away from me for a while.

We looked into each other’s eyes

And silence reined the pink-colored room.

Then the bud blossomed into a flower.

A little flicker of sunshine passed in

through the small blinds,

as she spread her mouth wide

to give a toothless smile.

My heart raced against the blood

streaming through the veins.

With a little look here and there,

she slowly extended her fingers

to my excited face and said

‘Ma’ for the first time.

And I was speechless.

I believe in this sort of love for even silence can reach the heart and not only words. Good poem anita, it is about maternal love, is'nt it??? Keep going please, I really enjoy your lines.
