Hi, this Tuesday I have meeting with my English tutor. I will probably take additional English classes to prepare myself for IELTS or CAE. I wrote this so I can prepare for our conversation. You will see from the text below my "life story", why do I need IELTS. (Also you will see that I do not speak English fluently, but that’s my dream and I will try to make it happen)
At the beginning I would like to introduce myself. My name is Toni and I live in one small village near Rijeka, called Opatija. I live with my parents, I have smaller sister and bigger brother, she’s third grade and he’s lorry diver.
Next Autumn, 2019, I have to start with my (next level of education)/(new step of education), and that’s university. At first glance I thought about applying to some university in Croatia in our capital city, such as FER or PMF and study computer science and mathematics. But after reading on the daily base news about economic crisis, corruption and watching every day how our government is stealing money from us citizens, I started to question myself: do I want to spend my life here? In this country where you have a money only if you steal it from someone.
So, I started to inform myself about studying aboard. And after reading bunch of web sites, forums I realized that studying in UK is not impossible, after digging and digging on the internet I found one lady who lives in Rijeka and her job is to help people with applying to UK universities.
And that’s the reason why am I here; I have to prepare myself for IELTS or CAE, pass the exam and take a flight to London ??.
