Speech= grammar and word usage= is it right?

Are the word usage and grammar corrrect? because, I find it hard to correct these sentences. Thank you very much for your great help guys... ^^

1. I esteem it a great honor to address you at this contest. This is second time stand here and make a speech so I deeply appreciate my Lord and my mom.







2. I think drawing cartoons well is very important but less than making plenty contents with a good story. Therefore, everyday I read a newspaper to get an idea and to put myself in the middle of the thoughts.
