specific verbs?

Does anybody have any lists of specific verbs...? heard that a strong piece of writing needs specific verbs and nouns. well, i am rather weak at using them. Do you guys have any idea and tips to share on this?

I don't believe that there are any lists of 'specific' verbs. The guideline is to try to use verbs which are as specific as possible to the context. For example, don't simply use eat if the character wolfed his food, or don't settle for ran if streaked, galloped or scampered would make the image more concrete.
