Specific meaning

Hi,
Here are some sentences from a convention, but i don't get the specific meaning of the words/sentences in blue.
(i re-opened the thread here as i need fast answers).

for example:
1-
Article 42 Occupants of aircfraft
No person parachuting from an aircraft in distress shall be made the object of attack during is descent.


...such persons who have been detained, imprisoned or held in captivity as result of hotilities or occupation..


2-

Article 42.1
Upon reaching the ground in territory controlled by any adverser party..
upon=once, here?

Article 41 Safeguard of an enemey hors de combat.
hors de= out of ?

4-

Quarter
It is prohibitet to order that there shall be no survivors, to threaten and adversary therwith or to conduct hotilities on this basis.
(the meaning of the bolds and of the whole sentence)??

Art. 37 Prohibition to Perdify
It is prohibited ti kill an adversary by resort to perdify. Acts inviting the confidence of an adversary to lead him to believe that he is entitled to, shall constitue perdify.

...which are not perfidious becase they don't invite the condience of an adversary with respect to protection under that law..


The following act s are exmaples of perdify:

The feigning of civilian, non-combatant status
the emblems of the UN or of neutral or other states not parties ot the conflict.

6- Article 34 Remains of deceased

..where such an offer hasn't been accepted the High contracting Party may, adopt the arangements laid down in its own laws reating to cemeteries and graves.

Unfortunately it's not used in a sentence. It's just the title of a section. I guess I'll have to research it.

I know "draw and quarter," where you hook up four horses, one to each one of a person's extremities, and say "Giddyap!" I don't think that applies.
