Please correct this sentence for me:

Is there anything specific you want to talk about? - Is this a complete sentence and could it be said over dinner or a meal during the present time.

Would it be more polite to include:

Is there anything specific you would want to talk about?

I always thought that would was the past tense of will.

We don't usually say would want; we substitute in that case and say would like. would like is more polite than want, so yes, it would be more polite to say:

Is there anything specific you would like to talk about?

Also quite good, and the same in meaning:

Is there anything in particular you would like to talk about?
