Speaking of which in a sentence

Hi guys,

Please let me know whether the cohesive device, "speaking of which", is used correctly in the following sentence?

I'm writing to you about a suitcase that you borrowed from me some time ago. Speaking of which, it is a medium-sized travel luggage that you took to pack your belongings when traveling to Australia on your field trip.

My intention is to refer to the suitcase mentioned in the first sentence when using speaking of which in the second sentence.

Thanks

Faraz
