Most of the people introduce themselves saying " This is so and so................."Is it right to say "This" because i think it is meant to be used while one introduces another?Emotion: shake

Yeah, on the phone it might be common.

But I think it's a different situation, whether you are talking face to face, or even with a small group of people. Imagine you are a guide of a museum and you are introducing yourself to the group. I think you won't say:

Hello, this is....
